The REACH Foundation is proud to bring the FIRST ® LEGO® League Explore Program to PYLUSD. Students in grades 1 - 4 (or ages 6 - 10) will focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design and code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO® bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential.
FIRST LEGO League Explore is one of three divisions by age group of the FIRST® LEGO® League program. This program inspires young people to experiment and grow their confidence, critical thinking, and design skills through hands-on learning. FIRST LEGO League was created through an alliance between FIRST® and LEGO® Education.
During the ocean-inspired 2024-2025 FIRST season, FIRST® DIVE presented by Qualcomm, “sea” into the future! The FLL theme is called SUBMERGED. Children will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and innovate for a better future with healthy oceans.

Class offered at Fairmont Elementary school starting October 14th thru November 18th. Tuesdays & Thursdays afterschool. Registration will open on September 10th.
In Explore, students learn to design, code, and create solutions using LEGO bricks and LEGO Education SPIKE Essential. Students also explore real-world problems and conduct innovation projects, such as identifying a problem and designing a solution.

The REACH Foundation is proud to bring the First Lego League (FLL) Explore (grades 2-4) and Challenge (grades 4-8) Programs to PYL students. Since 2021, the foundation was partnered with educators, parents, and high school mentors to enrich, engage and inspire hundreds of students to experiment and grow their confidence, critical thinking, and design skills through hands-on learning.
FLL Explore has been offered to students at Fairmont, Woodsboro, Travis Ranch, Glenknoll, and Rose Drive Elementary School.
