Have you ever wanted advice from an experienced coach, or elder sibling about how they managed and navigated through college or their career choices? Are you curious about what you can do today to prepare for tomorrow? Based on a theme at each event, our awesome PYL Alumni and Keynote Speaker will share their experiences, insights and challenges from high school, college and careers to engage, inspire and enrich PYL students, especially high school and middle school students. Watch the 10th From the Inside Event!
The Mission of the REACH Foundation is to enrich, inspire and engage learners through educational experiences in collaboration with PYLUSD and our community. The REACH Foundations Grant program is intended to fund education projects, programs, equipment or resource costs for the classroom or district projects that are not funded by the local district and school budgets. Grants will be awarded for innovative, creative or unique projects that enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities that directly benefits PYLUSD students and align to the REACH Foundation's mission and goals.
Do you know what happens in the evening at the largest grove of coastal redwoods in the OC? Explore and learn about Carbon Canyon Regional Park. With a passport, students visited six hands-on stations to learn about climate resiliency and environmental literacy.
This program inspires students in Grades 4 - 12 to experiment and grow their confidence, critical thinking, and communications skills through hands-on learning. More learning Labs will be scheduled in Winter 2024 and Spring 2024.
Students engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering as they build and code a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of the robot game. Teams also participate in an innovation project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.
Make a lasting memory for your son or daughter, friend or teacher that appreciates the performing and visual arts. A bronze plaque is placed on the armrest of a seat in the PYLUSD Performing Arts Center and/or the Valencia Auditorium.
