REACH Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, qualifies for Community Service Hours that are required of our PYLUSD high school students.
The PYLUSD Community Service graduation requirement supports the belief that students benefit from the opportunity to make meaningful connections and enrich the lives of others by performing service for their community without receiving any external reward or financial benefit. This requirement is intended to assist students in becoming educated citizens within a safe and successful community.
This requirement involves students working on a VOLUNTARY basis in non-profit agencies, the public sector or educational institutions. The following hours are to be completed by May 1st of your senior year.
Class of 2023 – 20 Community Service Hours Required
Class of 2024 – 30 Community Service Hours Required
Class of 2025 – 40 Community Service Hours Required
Students are encouraged to start early!
Sign Up and volunteer for a REACH Foundation event noted below. Sign-Ups will open 4-8 weeks prior to the event. If the event you are interested in is not available, come back and check on this page. The REACH Foundation will provide the Community Service form filled in based on your volunteer hours. Please check with your high school for the most current Community Service requirement.

The 12th Annual Shamrock 'n Run 5K, 2K and Square Course will be on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Yorba Regional Park.
This is a district-wide fundraiser and all net proceeds go directly to benefit enrichment programs for PYLUSD students.
This event is PYLUSD approved for High School Community Service Hours.
Volunteer spots include setting up and art show docent.
Time depends on the dates of ArtWorks. It usually runs for a week so there are many opportunities to sign up.
Volunteers help on the field coordinating water distribution, Awards, event set up and tear down
Many of our adult volunteers have students in the district. Some student volunteers have graduated while others are alumni ready to give back to their community. What we all have in common is we love giving back to the schools that have given so much to our students. We are an all volunteer non-profit, so your one or two hours of support helps make our program/event workloads a little lighter.
