Student artwork from grades K-12 is displayed at the Professional Development Academy once a year in the late spring. Teachers select the student art on display from many different visual art mediums - watercolor, pastels, ink art, photography, wood, metals and fabric.
The exhibit is open to the public.
ArtWorks 2023 held at the PYLUSD Professional Development Academy in person for an art exhibition that showcased student artists from Preppy-K to high school Seniors. Audra Ross, photography teacher at EDHS and PYL Visual Arts Coordinator, led the team of art teachers across the district to curate this beautiful and inspiring collection of art.
The REACH Foundation provides the program financial support and volunteers to assist on opening night which is expected to bring in over 800 visitors. In collaboration with the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club, the foundation will also provide volunteers to supervise ArtWorks over the seven days it is open to the public. We also thank Blick Art Materials for supporting ArtWorks 2023 and YLHS Photography under the direction of teacher Jeffrey Schumerth for the photos. Enjoy the 2023 photo gallery of student art below.
