PYLUSD Gala 2016 celebration benefiting arts education throughout our 34 schools.
"We're incredibly proud of PYLUSD's visual and performing arts programs", said Superintendent Dr. Doug Domene. "Almost 10,000 students participate in district arts classes and activities. This event showcases the amazing student talent, which includes artists, singers, musicians, dancers and actors of all ages and grade levels, in one spectacular show."
This event featured performances by music, dance and theatre students (elementary through high school), and museum-quality works of art prominently displayed for guest to enjoy during the reception.
The Gala was held at the district's Performing Arts Center (PAC), located at 1651 N. Valencia Ave. on the campus of El Dorado High School in Placentia, on February 20. Light hors-d'oeuvres were served at 6 p.m., followed by special student performances at 7p.m. All net proceeds assist the R.E.A.C.H. Foundation's efforts to support arts education in the district.
This is the second Gala at the PAC; the first taking place when the facility held its grand opening in 2013. The 18,000-square-foot building is the district's premier, state-of-the-art multi-use concert hall and theater venue.
